Original, innovative, creative: these three words are always used when describing Robert Graham designs. He takes inspiration for different cultures, pairing eclectic prints and patters to unexpected and refined results. Currently, Robert Graham has expanded his merchandise to knit wear, pants, jackets, ties, belts, hats, scarves, and a women’s collection. Robert Graham is carried all over the world from the US to UK to Indonesia, where he has cultivated a fan base.

Robert Stock’s fashion career started early when he took fashion cues from his father’s love of beautifully tailored dress shirts. As a young man Stock favored Saville Row style inspired humor, which is evident in his Robert Graham line where impeccable quality, exquisite detailing and a subtle wink of British. At a young age his talent landed him a partnership with Ralph Lauren, whom he met while he was selling his tie and cologne collection in the store he was working. In the mid 1960’s, partnering with him in his highly successful Chaps collection. He was then recognized as one of the rising stars in the men’s wear industry.

As a talented designer, Stock single-handedly created the sand washed silk phenomenon; his and washed silk shirts are considered a classic. In 2000, when Stock felt the men’s fashion industry was creating nothing new and inspiring, he challenged himself and created Robert Graham, a fresh and unique collection full of expression and risks. The line has been seen as witty, engaging, and has a sense of individuality, which is also, carried though the ‘Knowledge Wisdom Truth’ label integrated into every garment. These three different words are meant to mean different things to each person who reads them, just as fashion speaks differently to each individual.

Stock has also received the coveted Coty Award and the prestigious Cutty Sark Award for Leading American Men’s Sportswear Designer. He was also honored by FIT at the annual Star Salute at the United Nations in 1995 and by YMA at its Annual Scholarship Fund Awards in 2000.
