With degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design and the prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris, Nicole Miller has an enviable background in both art and couture. From her first "hip smock dress" in 1982, she has set the pace for her contemporaries, inspiring design revolutions. Shortly following her show, the trend of "actresses as models" emerged, as movie stars began replacing traditional models both in print and on the runway. Through carving her niche in the fashion world, Nicole Miller has become known for her other interests and hobbies. Miller, always a veritable host, is in the process of penning a book on the art of entertaining and cuisine. She also emphasizes charitable giving and raises money for many Manhattan based and National charities. Recently, Nicole was selected as a celebrity cabinet member by The American Red Cross.
